I also was an addict, although my DOC was oxymorphone. I was using 60-90 mg a day nasally. (Crushed and snorted) I spent 5 months on Suboxone, which I am also gratefully clean of opiates now. However when I stopped the Suboxone, my depression was horrible, no sleep, and the pain in my back from my 2 spinal surgerys was intense. My message therapist introduced me to Maeng Da and other types of Kratom. It is just a miracle as far as I am concerned. Depression- GONE. Addiction- GONE. Pain- VIRTUALLY GONE. I was taking Tylenol x 6 a day plus Meloxicam and 1600 mg of ibuprofen and that was just taking the edge off. Now I take the Meloxicam only, and I am not sure I need it. I started down the path of opiate addiction to relieve pain. The longer I was on it (4+ years) the less effective it was. A friend who has severe chronic fibro-mialga suggested to insuffulate for a greater effect. After that I was on my way to a hard core addiction. I was days before “firing” it up because it just wasn’t helping anymore. Thank god for my wife and my understanding doctors who put me on the road to recovery with Suboxone. Now I have Kratom, I know I never have to look back!
